Maintaining your Lagooni shower wheelchair is very easy
Your Lagooni shower commode wheelchair does not require a lot of maintenance. You can easily disassemble the wheelchair, which makes it facile to reach every spot while cleaning. This applies to all the models except the Junior XS and Blue. It is possible to get the seat out of the frame, giving you access to the most ”hidden” places.
Maintenance upholstery
To keep your upholstery clean, durable and hygienic, we advise cleaning the upholstery with the detol spray. If one uses aggressive cleaning detergents, you risk damage on the soft upholstery. Â Because the seat is made of skin-friendly materials, it is susceptible to wear and tear. Thus the reason to replace your upholstery every 3 years. That way, you are most assured that the risk of pressure sores stay minimal.
Non-slip new upholstery
New neoprene can be quite stiff and therefore difficult when making transfers. A very simple way to make the neoprene a bit smoother is to use some talcum powder on the seat. If the seat is in use for a longer period of time, it will become less stiff.
Maintenance brakes and axles of the shower wheelchair
Do you want to enjoy your chair for as long as possible? Then Lagooni advises you to spray the brakes and axles with silicone spray regularly. This way, these parts continue to function smoothly. You can spray all parts – with the exception of the coating – with anti-cal. This way, you protect the chair against lime and soap scum.
